Share your love of Christmas and support Hospice North Hastings by crafting a unique expression of the joy and hope that you feel at this special time of year.
On December 9th, our last North of 7 Film Fest screening date of 2014, the lobby of the Village Playhouse will be filled with festive wreaths created and donated by community members. These whimsical creations will be the featured items in our first ever Holiday Wreath Silent Auction.
The goal of this event is to help members of our creative community tap into the joy they have around the holidays and transfer that spirit of celebration into a festive wreath. These wreaths, infused with the true spirit of Christmas, will then be featured in a silent auction to help raise funds to support the programs and services provided by Hospice North Hastings in our community.
The doors will open at noon on December 9th at the Village Playhouse in Bancroft for those wanting to view and bid on the community creations. The silent auction will end at the start of our second film that screens at 7pm that evening.
Call Hospice North Hastings at 613.332.8014 and let us know that you’re donating a wreath. We need all wreaths to be delivered to the Hospice North Hastings office by December 8th.
December 9th is also TIFF Tuesday with two fabulous screenings of the Australian film, “Tracks,” at 4:15 and 7pm. For those planning on attending, we encourage you to arrive earlier than usual to enjoy some hospitality and participate in the silent auction.
The silent auction for the Holiday Wreaths will close at 7pm.
