Fans of The Hideaway in Coe Hill will want to clear their schedules for Tuesday, August 18 when restaurateurs and local celebrities Sas and Derek host an intimate VIP dinner for Hospice North Hastings.
The Hideaway is celebrating ten years of creating food adventures somewhere in Coe Hill and for fans of the Hideaway’s renowned culinary offerings, this event allows Chef Derek to get even more creative with seasonal produce and fabulous flavours.
The “Savour Some Flavour in Life” four course menu created by Chef Derek promises an amazing infusion of flavours. The dinner starts with a Caprese Salad full of fresh heirloom tomatoes from the County. Chef Derek says they will taste like candy – and who doesn’t love candy? The salad course is followed by a Mahi Oscar with hints of lobster and the main course promises kick-it-to-you flavour with Beef Tenderloin Hash. The meal is complemented by a Ginger Snap ice cream sandwich for a summery finish.
The dinner has only one seating, at 7pm and VIPS need to book tickets in advance of the event. Only 50 tickets will be available.
“This is going to be an exciting night,” said Hospice Coordinator Heather Brough. “The Hideaway is known for their amazing food and an atmosphere that is full of laughter. I expect all of our VIPs will enjoy their meal and of course, we’ll throw in a few surprises to make the evening one to remember.”
On their website The Hideaway is described as a place to chill, laugh, relax, enjoy good food or a remote place used by outlaws. For the VIP dinner on August 18, good times and laughter are mandatory and outlaws are certainly welcome as long as they reserve their tickets in advance. Tickets are on sale now for $54 at www.boxofficebancroft.com. Doors will open at 6:30 and all proceeds go to Hospice North Hastings.
